Hollywood is a beautiful sundgau colored Alpine. She has placed quite well in the shows we have exhibited her in,
winning Reserve Champion several times. She’s the last of the does that we kept when we made the foray
into having Alpines for a while. While
Holly is one of Krista’s very favorite does, we just didn’t want to
have a third breed. So, what did we do in all of our great wisdom?......yep, made
a group of Experimental/Recorded grades to add to our goat breeding
program. Of course, our
goal is to have them move into the LaMancha herdbooks in the future, so
they are now bred with that in mind! Holly is an excellent producer, and is a very dairy individual. She’s got a mammary system that is incredibly high, wide, and
smoothly blended....and it milks as evidenced by her production record. Her Experimental daughters have been quite competitive in the
show ring as well as productive. Her
second freshening daughter Celebrity appraised EX90 with an Excellent
mammary system, and her two first freshening daughters appraised VG89
with Excellents on their mammary systems as well.
